Do not treat prophecies with contempt. (1Thessalonians.5.20 NIV)
In Amos.3.7, the Bible says Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
To every man, people, nation, system or continent, God has appointed and ordained a prophet.
In our theme scripture, the Bible is warnings us not to treat prophecies with contempt. In other words never to despise, disrespect, esteem low or disregard prophecy.
Many people as the pollution in the world has spoiled them, no longer have regard for prophecy. But God will not change or restructure Himself to suite the condition of man.
God will continue giving and showing his plan to those He has opened the spiritual eyes.
Why does God really give us the word of prophecy? It is because He wants our active participation in His plans for us. So He does nothing without making it know to us.
In one way or another, the depth of the word of God can not be sought through bible school only but through the prophetic eye. Unless one prays prophetically, some realms can not be entered. Many things will continue to die spiritually because prophecy is esteemed lightly.
Prophecy and the word of God can not be separated and that's why prophecy is proved and tested true by the word.
Writing off all prophecy in the name of being false is not the way out or else we will suffer the consequences of not believing. The only thing to do is passing it through the word to prove it.
Luke.24.25 And [Jesus] said to them, O foolish ones [sluggish in mind, dull of perception] and slow of heart to believe (adhere to and trust in and rely on) everything that the prophets have spoken! (AMP)
Many people today are suffering because they esteemed lightly the prophecy. Some made grave decisions yet God had spoken to guide them but they disregarded.
Do not treat prophecies with contempt.
Hallelujah!
