Ecclesiastes.4.13 -14 Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive counsel (friendly reproof and warning) - Even though [the youth] comes out of prison to reign, while the other, born a king, becomes needy. (AMP)
It is the way of God to lift up what the world has cast down. The wisdom to take counsel is an advantage for anybody who wants to be lifted by God.
Scripture says Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive counsel. The wise youth understood and knew how to take counsel. And by scripture, there is more hope for Him to transcend to royalty.
His poverty will soon disappear, his status will soon change. Even if He was born poor, even though he is thrown into prison; he eventually comes out to reign.
The old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive counsel even if was born rich and into royalty will soon become needy.
God is not limited by your background or current situation. What may be limiting the move of God in your life is how much counsel you are able to take.
Look at the heart of God;
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who've been thrown out with the trash, Seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best. (Ps.113.7-8 MSB)
That's what God wants to do to you. To set you among the honored guests. There is only one thing you should do to transcend: give heed to His counsel.
The wisdom to take counsel lifted Joseph from prison and set him over the land of Egypt. And how can we forget Daniel and his friends. We could mention example upon example. All these men are said to have wisdom in their youthful days.
That is the wisdom you need to transcend from lowliness to royalty.
