THE SUDDEN TEST AND SURPRISING BLESSINGS

Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. (Matthew.8.24 NIV)

It is noted that before a violent storm, there must be some signs of it's coming. Infact those who navigate the seas are able to tell and don't set out for sail.

Yet on a boat where Peter and his brother, the fishermen were, nobody was able to foretell the storm. That can't be an ordinary storm.

Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat.

I know christians would expect problems to warn or to get dreams and visions about what is coming against them. Listen, these guys were with Jesus Christ, but Jesus was sleeping.

And some have attributed the absence of prior communication from God to sin which has separated them from God.

Child of God, if everything was told before it came, it is obvious that you would enter for praying and fasting, seeking for deliverance, and your faith would only depend on prior preparation. It ceases to be faith.

The first thing Jesus asked the disciples was "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Because, the storm had not come to kill them but to test. How would they even think that they were going to die when they had Jesus onboard?

The sudden storms come to check your faith in the most unprepared moments of your life. When you manage to stand, know that God will start surprising you with blessings too.

Hallelujah!
