I took a long look and pondered what I saw; the fields preached me a sermon and I listened: (Proverbs.24.32 MSB)
Many people expect that if God is to speak to them, then it must be through their man of God, a vision or a dream. Some even expect a voice with a special sound to come through to prove that God is speaking to them.
The truth is that through any sense God gave us, He is able to talk to us. Today our theme scripture is of a man who was preached to by a field of the sluggard, and the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment;
At a single moment, you are able to see millions of things, but why do certain things capture you mind and focus? Have you even thought about it? If not, you miss a lot.
The challenge is that we have not learnt to relate with the things we see if they seem obvious. While Jesus Christ was preaching, anything including the things that seemed useless were used to describe the Kingdom of God.
But because we are waiting to hear a prophecy or see a dream or vision, we have missed a lot that God wants to teach us using what we see.
The wise man says He took a long look and pondered what he saw. The KJV bible says, "Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction."
The question Moses asked Himself concerning the bush should be the question you ask yourself concerning the things you see. [Exodus 3.2-3].
But like I said, whatever seems obvious is always overlooked.
Luke.8.10 And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that "Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.' (NKJV)
Some lessons are learned from the things you see, not necessarily from what they are but also what they represent.
Hallelujah!
