Matthew.6.10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (AMP)
Before asking for anything from God, children of God who now don't live their own lives but Christ's, should have everything of theirs aligned to the will and purposes of God.
It's also a key to answered prayers and it's shown to us in scripture in James.4.3
[Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures. (AMP)
Asking without submitting to the will of God causes people to ask with wrong motives. So to ensure the right things are asked for, the will of God should take precedence.
Like we discussed previously, it is impossible to say you know God as a father then again reject His will. To say that, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" means that let the mind of God reign.
And that the purpose of God should be regarded above the desires of man.
What does this mean to us as the children of God? Don't go on asking God for what you desire without understanding the secrets of His kingdom and having the knowledge of His will.
The right way to go before the father is yielding to what He wants to do not going with what what you want Him to do for you.
