Revelation.19.21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. (KJV)
There are christians who have found themselves laying down the gospel and picking up the weapons of this world to use for fighting. "I will put the Bible aside and first deal with you" they say.
The question is: Is there anything that the word of God can not do? The word of God can not fail in anything. No matter of life is not included in the word of God.
For a child of God, the weapons we need are not of this world.
2Corinthians.10.4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (NIV)
In the Revelation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to John, as from our theme scripture, the remnants; those who were with the beast causing trouble in the earth were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth.
God gave us the word not only to set us right with Him but to also be used as a weapon. While teaching us warfare, Paul says our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
You might say that that person has put up a fight against you on their own but there is a force behind them. Stop fighting like a carnal man.
In Ephesians.6.17, the Bible says Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The word of God has power to grant you victory in anything that sets itself against you.
So when He says you are more than a conqueror, He knows that with you is a weapon that gives sure victory. You are as victorious as how you have learned to apply the sword of the spirit which is the word of God.
