THE POWER OF SPIRITUAL NEED

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew.5.3 NIV)

Imagine what is in the mind of a person who is sure that the state of his accounts can buy him anything that he would think of. In essence he does not feel needy.

On the other hand, the poor reaches out for any thing firm to lean on to hold them up. The feeling of insufficiency causes them to look for external sufficiency.

And I tell you, that is the picture of the how the human spirit can be. People who developed a feeling of inner self sufficiency will always tend to ignore the power of leaning and depending on God.

And God says it's not those who feel that they have reach maximum maturity and no longer look needy in the spirit that will enter the kingdom of heaven.

The kingdom of Heaven belongs to the poor and needy in Spirit. Our theme scripture in the NLT bible says, "God blesses those who realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them.

Child of God, Man of God, woman of God, don't let any amount of knowledge of the Bible or experiences you have had in the presence puff you up to a level that you no longer desire the voice of God to teach you and direct you.

Read from the experience of Paul the great Apostle in His second letter to the church in Corinth.

2Corinthians.12.7-9; To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. (NIV)

Be careful that pride does not creep into your heart because of the walk and knowledge you have in God

Hallelujah!
