Genesis.15.2 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?" (NIV)
In Genesis 13.16, God makes a promise to expand the offspring of Abraham in that they would be as many as the dust.
Yet in our theme scripture, He is questioning why God is multiplying his wealth and not giving Him a son to inherited his wealth.
As if saying you did not understand when I used the dust, God took Abraham outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars-if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be." [Genesis.15.5]
Again reminding Him of the very promise He made to Him in chapter 13.
There are things that the children of God are praying for and seeking from God but everytime the Spirit directs them to scripture of promise. Some receive the very message they received before.
Child of God, there is no demon holding your prayer, neither are they bewitching you. If everytime you are colliding with the written promises of God or receiving prophecy of promise just like the one you received before, God is simply saying,"trust my word."
There are requests that we make to God which in actual sense are already given and just need to be received.
One thing we should understand is that when God promises something, in His realm it is already done, but just waiting it's manifestation in our realm.
Asking God for what He has already done is unbelief. And you know what? It can cause one to miss what God has prepared for them.
Psalm.106.24 The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn't believe his promise to care for them. (NLT)
How could a nation refuse to enter the promised land? A land flowing with milk and honey. Think about it.
This is how; they wouldn't believe his promise to care for them.
Instead of affirming the promises of God in your life, you are still asking. He has spoken health into your life, yet you are still asking Him to heal you. He has said His plans for you are good, but you are having challenges taking the path He has ordained for you.
Change your prayer points from asking to affirming. From questioning to yielding and from begging to trusting God at His word.
Hallelujah!
