OUR COMMITMENT TO GOD

How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews.10.29 NIV)

While accepting Jesus Christ as a savior and believing in Him is a choice to be made by an individual, a time will come when some who did not will realize that it was mandatory.

But what about the people who have familiarized the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and no longer pay attention to it as the highest prize ever paid?

What about the people who don't appreciate the finished work of God in Jesus Christ on the cross and seek to establish their own righteousness by works thinking it the way to enter external life?

I know many people think the verse in our theme scripture is for people who have not believed. Brethren the Bible is clear that judgement will start from the household of God.

1Peter.4.17 For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God? (AMP)

Today the gospel if taken as a common thing, the places of worship are treated like any other place, there is no due respect a child of God has for what bears the name of God. All this is not just an action. It is a reflection of the states of the hearts of the children of God.

The church is loosing the commitment they had in God. And yes, indeed the illusion of being proximal to God is cutting off many. Cancer is no comparison to familiarity.

To love God with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." (Mark.12.33).

It's not about what we offer, it's about our commitment to God.

Hallelujah!
