SEEING GOD IN THE OBVIOUS AND UNEXPECTED

Genesis.18.2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. (NIV)

How many times has God extended Himself to the aid of man and man has not recognized or welcomed Him to their situation or lives?

In verse one of Genesis 18, the Bible is clear that God appeared to Abraham. But it is not as He has been. This time He came in form or three foreign men.

Scripture says when he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.

Why do people miss God's extension of Grace? Some hardly recognize it and others are too proud to hand themselves to God.

This is a generation which has defined how God should come to them. If it is not through their prophet, or a dream or vision, then it is seldom that God has spoken or come to them.

This God who is in all things can speak or come to you through anything. The problem is that the hearts of men are getting more and more calcified with pride.

Abraham Looked at these men and ran to them. He even bowed low to the ground giving them respect and Honor. Let me tell you what it would be like in this generation: "me? The whole me, chosen and blessed by God? In whom others will be blessed if they bless me? Let them come down to me if they want a blessing."

No matter How many prophecies you have received in your life, if you fail to recognize God in everything around you, those prophecies will lie dormant deep in your spirit.

When you understand that all things work for the good of those who know God, you will appreciate that you are never in a situation or place or encounter with things at a particular moment by mistake.

God is always revealing Himself to us but we have set our hearts to see and hear him in the things and ways we want. That's not right.

When Jesus appeared to Saul who is Paul, He came to him in a great light and said, "arise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in which I will appear unto thee." God didn't say everytime I will come in a light. He said in the 'things' plural. Since these things were not specified, then it can be anything.

Be humble enough to see God in the obvious and unexpected.

Hallelujah!
