Titus.3.9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. (KJV)
Why do you read the Bible? Why are you asking for revelation? Is it to see Christ and to know the will of God and to educate the human spirit to do good or to use it as reference in your arguments?
There are people whose carrier is to approve or disapprove scripture. Their pleasure is setting up controversies. They actually don't have the understanding and revelation of Jesus Christ. All they know is the Law.
And now, they hunt christians, trying to confront them in public asking questions on the law and genealogies.
Today the Bible is teaching us to avoid those foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law.
You might say you want to prove to them something but that's unprofitable and does not benefit the kingdom either. Think about the usage of 'avoid' in the theme scripture.
Galatians.5.9 A little leaven (a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers) leavens the whole lump [it perverts the whole conception of faith or misleads the whole church]. (AMP)
You might not see but people stuck in such arguments don't just do it for fun. In there the devil wants to pollute the conception of the life in Christ. What do you do to protect your faith? Avoid and don't be part of such contentions, and strivings about the law.
Hallelujah!
