Is there anybody who does not like to cause an atmosphere of the presence of God as they minister? I don't think so. Infact this is the cause of manipulation in this generation.
"No matter what, do something that shows that God is using you." That's what they say and do.
Oh! even Moses understood that the presence of God is what separates and marks the children of God from the world.
Exodus.33.15 And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here! For by what shall it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight? Is it not in Your going with us so that we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the other people upon the face of the earth? (AMP)
But according to the bible, in the new testament, the presence of God was not something that man calls down.
In the old testament, the phrase"came upon...and was filled with..." is common. In the new testament, we see ".....full of the Holy spirit..." being a common phrase. Did you get the difference?
So, what if I told you that the Holy Spirit which causes the atmosphere of God's presence is right in you and you don't need to call down the presence of God?
What was John's testament about Jesus?
Mark.1.8 I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." (NIV)
An Jesus, after talking to His disciples, in our theme scripture, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit!
Moving with the atmosphere of God's presence can be done by any child of God without calling for Him.God promised that His presence would confirm His word.
But why do we have only a few manifesting the presence we once saw with the apostles and the church before us?
See, a man would walk by the sick and his shadow heals[Acts 5.15], by preaching, just speaking the same gospel we are preaching today, men were hit and filled by the Holy Spirit [Acts 10.44].
The question is why are we not seeing such a widespread presence? There must be something missing in our generation. And here is something I can say.
We want to walk in that presence but are not ready to go through the journey to activate it. The Spirit of God is right within us. But we have not learned to walk with Him, to talk to Him, even to listen to Him.
The road to such a realm of walking with God—having His active presence is one which really can scare of many who are not ready to be like eggs in an incubator except those who are truly thirsty.
What can be of an egg not incubated? It either rots or is put in a frying pan. No life to manifest.
Where is the thirst not lust? Because God calls the thirsty not the lusting[John 7.37]. That is exactly what is wrong with our generation.
We can not manipulate the presence of God, or if we do, we are looking for shame and frustration.
There is no where you are going to fetch the Spirit of God from then carry it with you wherever you go. It starts from within you and then it flows outside.
That you may really come to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! (Ephesians.3.19 AMP)
