And when He had deposed him, He raised up David to be their king; of him He bore witness and said, I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart, who will do all My will and carry out My program fully. (Acts.13.22 AMP)
All the many names that we call God, the description we give to Him, for what He is, all point to a single nature: Love. In love He called out Abraham and made him great. For the sake of love He took Israel out of Egypt. It's for love that He sent His son to die on the cross. It's for love that He has done good to you today.
All that God does is in and for love. God can not be separated from love because it is His very nature. God is love.[1John 4.8]. Love is the heart of God.
For someone who is asking for how to know the will of God, have you known the heart of God? Have you understood love?
When God took David for Himself as king over Israel, He testified of him as a man after His own heart. It is at this testimony that He says, "he will do all My will and carry out My program fully."
We are said to Have the mind of Christ, and that we bear the thoughts and feelings of His heart because His nature dwells in us and because He sheds his love in our hearts. [Romans 5.5]
