"Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, and I am pleased with him. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will reveal justice to the nations. He will not crush those who are weak or quench the smallest hope. He will bring full justice to all who have been wronged. (Isaiah.42.1-2 NLT)
In our theme scripture, Isaiah sees the revelation of the Messiah and what His purpose was -bring full justice to all; He is the prince of peace after all. He is the perfect Priest. Yet He made us Kings and Priests to the most high. [Rev. 5.9–10]. And by assignment, we are to continue functioning in this greater purpose.
Our theme scripture is true about the Christ and we are in Him, this means that it is also true of us.
God strengthens us. He has chosen each one of us, and is pleased with everyone he chose. Notwithstanding He has put His Spirit in us. This spirit is multidimensional to the end that we lack nothing to perform as Kings and Priests.
Isaiah.11.2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD - (NIV)
In this world we are to be the center of Peace and justice. The Spirit of God in us makes us delight in the fear of the LORD and never to judge by what we see with the eyes, or decide by what we hears with our ears.
We ought to operate by the Spirit of God and not partiality. There are people in our midst whose hope is almost gone, their lights are just a line away from going off.
By God, we are to strengthen them and never quench that slight hope that still leaves in them. Our speech, decisions and actions should be seasoned as salt with the ability to preserve, give value and health.
So as we Carry on with our mandates, let us always remember what God finished in Christ that we should extend it to all who should partake of it.
