The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. (Genesis.26.2 - 3)
A famine besides the famine that occured in the time of Abraham hit the land once again in the time of Isaac. As it was before, Egypt was the running place for them to get food and water.
Unlike Abraham, God commanded Isaac not to go to Egypt. From scripture we understand that Egypt didn't know God, they had no covenant with God. Although they had what would supply the needs of Isaac, God wanted to shift the heart of Isaac from trusting in false systems.
I can not tell the famine you are going through, but if the rest have been trusting in fallen systems, unto you God is saying "Do not go down to what they trust in."
God is saying endure that circumstances for a while, and trust Him in everything. Do not trade future prosperity with present pleasures. God wants to bless you even in the conditions that other people are running away from.
Trust God even in the moments that your heart really feels like giving up. God wants to make a way where seems no way, Abundance in the famine.
Hallelujah!
