Then Manoah prayed to the LORD: "O LORD, I beg you, let the man of God you sent to us come again to teach us how to bring up the boy who is to be born." (Judges.13.8 NIV)
Following the word of the Angel to Manoah's wife concerning the birth of Samson, Monoah understood that there is a pattern required by God for the birth and upbringing of the boy to fulfill his purpose.
His did not just get excited that his sterile wife was now going to have a son. Monoah became conscious of the plan of God concerning His child.
God has entrusted us with so many things; from family, children, business, ministry, authority, leadership and more than I can state out. Maybe God has so far given you only the vision of these things to come.
Do not accept to be so excited that you have been entrusted with them (even when they come as a miracle) to the extent that you forget to ask for the wisdom to nurture them into what God has intended them.
The theme scripture today is teaching us not to only appreciate what God has given us but to also ask for the wisdom to keep them aligned and consecrated to the end.
Ask God to teach you, guide you and help you to bring up whatever He has given you. Many people after receiving from God have diverted from the God who gave, and turned to their own wisdom and will.
This should not be the case for you.
