For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) (1Thessalonians.5.9 AMP)
While the world because of its corruption is going to be destroyed by the wrath of God, this is not the portion of those chosen and appointed by God to be His own. For these are incorruptible.
There is a doctrine that has crept into the church of Christ that has caused people to live as thou condemned even in Christ. One that points to the weakness of men instead of pointing men to the sufficiency in Christ.
For God has not appointed us to incur His wrath. Now, I imagine how a Christian opens their mouth to say "God's wrath is upon me." Or that "the anger of God is upon me." We need to examine where you are seated; in Christ or on earth?
Rev.15.1 Then I saw in heaven another significant event, and it was great and marvelous. Seven angels were holding the seven last plagues, which would bring God's wrath to completion. (NLT)
Chapter 14 of Revelation tells us of the chosen ones who sat with the Lamb, those who did not defile themselves and then the in 15, we are told of the seven plagues of the wrath.
God has purposed you to obtain His salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah. It is not only in the afterlife or in the last days but even in your daily walk on earth.
It's because of the ignorance men have on what Christ has done for them that they are afflicted by the devil not God.
John.3.36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Whoever believes in Jesus Christ can not be condemned. God can never delight in your affliction. God does not afflict those he has redeemed.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans.8.1 NKJV)
I am speaking to you who is still figuring out whether you really have a place in God, or whether you will even enter heaven looking at your present situation. If you are in Christ, there must be a surety of salvation in your spirit.
Hallelujah!
