THE MAN IN SECRET

Now it's wonderful if you are eager to do good, and especially when I am not with you. (Galatians.4.18 NLT)

It is simple to define a man by the things he does in public, but it is most probable that the man the person is in secret gives the true definition of who they are.

Now so many things seek to steal the heart of a man especially when they are not in the sight of anybody. Take note of the scripture below and gain understanding.

Proverbs.4.23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

The truth is a fully broken and taught heart remains zealous to do good even when no body is present; when you are only you.

Many people are always good and eager to do good when their teachers, elders, parents or peers are present but are altogether different in places they are known not. This shows that they miss out one important aspect: the omnipresence of God.

Anybody who professes to have the fear of God doesn't go behind the shadows to do what is contrary to what God wants of us. Paul the apostle says "it's wonderful if you are eager to do good, and especially when I am not with you."

Because firstly, it shows that you acknowledge and fear God for He is omnipresent. But secondly, it shows that you have learnt to rule your spirit.

Proverbs.16.32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. (NKJV)

God is so much interested in the man you are in the secret to the extent that everything –our iniquities, our secret heart and its sins which we would so like to conceal even from ourselves, are set in the revealing light of His countenance. [Psalm.90.8].

It is also God's desire to teach you in the secret just like egg content is first incubated in the shell to give birth to new life.

Let your secret life be a perfect time for God to teach you. A moment to make plans to do good and a time to reflect on the purposes of God in your life. Be zealous to do good even when you are alone.

Hallelujah!
