THE FAITHFUL LEADER

And Moses said to Aaron, "What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?" (Exodus.32.21 NKJV)

As a leaders of the people, Moses had Aaron we trusted by God to lead the children of Israel in truth until their destination holding fast on the one true God who brought them out of Egypt.

While Moses went up to talk to God, Aaron was in charge. But as most of us know, the worst occured. Aaron made a golden calf as a god for the people at their demand. At the return of Moses, then comes what is described in our theme scripture.

Moses said to Aaron, "What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?" At this point, the people had sinned before their own God, but the great sin lay on Aaron. He knew the truth, yet he obeyed the voice of the people.

Today many leaders bear the reason as to why the people of God are drifting away from the truth because they have inclined their mandates to the desires and demands of the people. What is scripture saying?

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged by God with greater strictness. (James.3.1 NLT)

Every one who teaches and does according to what the people want and not according to the truth of God, has led the people into sin.

We call people a perverse generation, but let the edge of the matter also focus on the people who have been entrusted to lead these people.

Galatians.5.9 A little leaven (a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers) leavens the whole lump [it perverts the whole conception of faith or misleads the whole church]. (AMP)

Yes, if we teach according to the desires of the church, we are carrying the whole church to the place of destruction. The mandate of the leader is to direct people to the truth and in the way of God.

Today, the word of God is teaching us to stand firm in the truth, knowing that we are not under the authority of the people but of God. We therefore should submit to God and not to the people.

Hallelujah!
