Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. (James.3.13 NIV)
Wisdom in a man's life can not be compared to a book full of words of wisdom in it's pages yet can't be judged right by people who look at the cover only. Wisdom can not be concealed; it will always find it's way in expression of a person's deeds.
In this way, Godly wisdom can be separated from worldly wisdom –by the fruit. Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit that is produced. (Matthew.7.20 NLT)
Scripture sets a question: Who is wise and understanding among you? That's for you to answer. The next line of this scripture is what should vindicate the type of wisdom in you.
If you have godly wisdom, show it by a good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. One of the most important fruit of Godly wisdom is Humility. It is possible to have a wisdom that does good deeds just as a show off and a way to earn a place among men.
Good deeds must be done in the humility produced by the very wisdom a man possess. This is the wisdom that Christ has everytime He performs a mighty deed and tells them not to tell anyone.
Wisdom and understanding are not expressed by a multitude of Words, Christ was not only a great teacher but His personal life as well was not found with fault. That is why the Pharisees could not find anything to accuse Him.
When John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples to ask him, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?" Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see: (Matthew.11.2 NIV). Jesus pointed them to both His teaching and deeds yet didn't say "yes I am He."
Let your wisdom and understanding be know by you good life and good works done in the Humility produced by Godly wisdom.
Hallelujah!
