WHAT YOU ARE AGAINST WHO YOU ARE

Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others. (Galatians.6.4 MSB)

I know most people have a clue on who they are although there are those who are veiled from their identity. Your true identity is what gives the definition of who you are. Then your your current status is what you are.

2Peter.3.18 tells us to grow in grace and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This means there is always a better version of you ahead for you to grow into.

Don't be impressed with yourself and don't compare yourself with others. We have been made and assigned different. We might have the same gifts and talents but the assignments will never be the same at a time. Have you imagined why our thumbprints are never the same or why the iris of the other can never match yours? I believe it's not just for security and identification as the world uses today. There is more Spiritually.

Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. God has defined every person's identity including the boundaries of habitation. Careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given will give you the unction to desire and crave for it.

What has killed many people's thirst is comparison with others who seem similar to them. They feel comfortable just because they have become better than so and so. That's not the best way to weigh yourself. Weigh yourself against who you are and the work God has given you.

Imagine being given a task to draw a tree which is just ahead of you and, instead of looking at the tree, you decide to look at your neighbor's drawing. Can't you just remember that your drawing will be marked against the tree not your neighbor's drawing? Now the tree is who you are in God and the work He has given you.

Sink yourself into becoming who you are and accomplishing the work you have been given perfectly. Make an exploration daily on yourself not other people. Praise the Lord. Those who even don't know who they are should find their identity in Christ alone.

Hallelujah!
