THE POWER OF MATURING IN UNDERSTANDING

Yet when I am among mature Christians, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world, and not the kind that appeals to the rulers of this world, who are being brought to nothing. (1Corinthians.2.6 NLT)

How much you receive in your spirit depends on how ripe your understanding is. God is not going to Puff you up with a lot of wisdom and spiritual matters when he knows that your spirit and understanding are not mature enough to hold what he is giving you because they'll be of no effect.

So the apostle is saying when I am among the mature I do speak with words of wisdom. Meaning that it is important that you mature in understanding to receive the great things and the great wisdoms that are delivered from heaven.

Maturity is the only way a person continues to know God and the God-life better. In maturity one is able to know what is good and what is expedient for them. However it's important to also remember what matters you are maturing in —truth or evil.

1Corinthians.14.20 Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature. (NKJV)

There are people who are maturing daily in evil. But anybody born of God is called to mature in the understanding of God's word and being babes in evil.

The more you mature in understanding the more windows that open to you and the brighter the light you walk in.

Hallelujah!
