HOW TO GUARD YOUR LIPS

Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalm.141.3 NIV)

Because life and death are in the power of the tongue, and that the mouth shows the abundance of the heart, it is important that the mouth is guarded.

No man can gain full control over his lips all by himself except by God who is able to know you words even before you say them.

In the days of the old the spirit of the Lord came upon men and they spoke as they ought to, but today we live in the dispensation where the spirit dwells in us.

It's also possible to live in this dispensation yet not recognize the power and readiness of the Spirit of the Lord over our lips. Today the Psalmist is teaching us to recognize His role.

This one prayer is able to help you not only to recognize the Spirit but also give Him the full control over your lips. This should be the prayer of your heart: Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.

Have not many marriages, partnerships, relationships, businesses, worship and ministries been set on fire because the responsible persons did not guard their lips?

This might look a simple matter but can change the course of your life forever. It's not about learning the choicest sentences , it's about the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is how you can guard your lips.

Hallelujah!
