But Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in her heart. (Luke.2.19 AMP)
It's not the first time the words as those spoken to her by the shepherds enter Mary's ears. The same are spoken to her by the Angel in His visit before the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Bible says Mary was keeping within herself all the things spoken about the son she had born. The message Bible says She kept all these things to herself, holding them dear, deep within herself.
Many things has God spoken of us and about the the things concerning us. But it is important that we keep the promises of God dear to us. Weighing and pondering on these things, keeping them in remembrance will help you to stand firm in the word of God.
Many things contrary to what God has said will come seeking to twist the blessing, but resistance is only sure if your heart has weighed the promise of God and found it weightier. Take an example of what was in the mind of the people to whom Nathanael belongs. See his statement in John 1.46; "Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?"
Hold what God has spoken of you more precious than anything else. Think about these things always.
