THE DOOR INTO GOD GIVEN GRACE

"Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. (Jonah.2.8 NIV)

The Grace of God has been poured out to all men and is available to anybody who turns their face to observe and cling onto it.

While Jonah was in the belly of the fish, deep in the heart of the sea, he saw the Grace and mercy of God, but also by God observed how some people are given up to destruction because they forfeited the very mercy that could save them.

So He said, "Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” The KJV version says "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy."

A vanity is something transitory and unsatisfactory; emptiness. In another sense an evil; Wickedness. Many people have set their eyes on things they can only see and put their trust and hope on the crafts of human hands. People are crediting the craft other than the Creator.

There is that one thing that you might have made your source of help other than God. But as true as scripture is, it is transitory and unsatisfactory. A time is coming when you can neither access nor call upon it.

Put your trust in the God who is a very present help in time of need. Many have forsaken the Grace that could be theirs because their hearts cling to vanity.

The Grace of God is able to reconcile everything in your life. What you are putting trust in other than God can not bring salvation to you. Look up to God and observe His Grace save you.

Hallelujah!
