NOT EVERYTHING HAS BEEN LOST, THERE IS HOPE

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. (Isaiah.1.9 KJV)

We all know or at least have heard of the destruction that befell Sodom and Gomorrah because of the wickedness they harbored. It was total destruction with nothing left behind as a sign of existence except for the scripture we now read.

But the Prophet Isaiah is saying something to the children of God that except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. This should tell the church something.

There are moments that you feel all is lost and destroyed. Everything seemingly spoiled beyond recovery. But hey! God always guards and leaves something pure and untampered with in everything.

When the seed is thrown into the ground, it wastes away but we suddenly see a shoot above the soil. In the hardest moments when Ahab and Jezebel were killing prophets, the God we serve today kept Seven thousand prophets pure and never found bowing to Baal.

What makes you think that you have lost everything in your life or that your family is wasted away? God does not will that you get wasted away to the point of not being restored.

Unfortunately, many people have become prisoners of their failures or of the loss they have had. You have not lost everything, something is left in you. Get back to your feet.

Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners, for there is yet hope! I promise this very day that I will repay you two mercies for each of your woes! (Zechariah.9.12)

The same God who preserves is able to sprout the little left to greatness. There is a sure hope.

Hallelujah!
