And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. (Luke.5.5 KJV)
Night is the most convenient time to catch fish, but it didn't work for Simon and his fellows. And here came Jesus telling a man who is already tired of trying when the times and conditions seemed convenient to cast his net again.
There are people who also are already tired of trying to play their cards when conditions seemed convenient. The time they thought they had done enough to move them through, things didn't really work out well.
Today I have come to tell you that it's not about convenience; It's about the urgency. Has God said? This is the most important thing to consider. Because when God says, all things even when not convenient start to align to that course.
Naaman wanted Elisha to perform the healing ministry at his convenience not according to what the Lord had said.[2Kings 5.10-14]. In most cases the convictions of the spirit come at times when the conditions really don't look like it, but that is it.
Mary told the servants at the wedding to do whatever he told them to do because she considered the urgency not the convenience. [John 2.5]. Aiming at convenience earns us nothing.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of [anxious] toil - for He gives [blessings] to His beloved in sleep. (Psalm.127.2 AMP)
Set your ears and eyes on the Lord not the prevailing circumstances.
Hallelujah!
