Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God. For it is written, "I will take vengeance; I will repay those who deserve it," says the Lord. (Romans.12.19 NLT)
It's always in the ways of a man to avenge any wrong done to him yet it's not what God requires of him. In most cases, man is only able to see only a single side of the parties –self.
God however is able to see all sides. For He is the God who sees and tests the human heart. He alone can judge who is on the wrong. [Proverbs 17.3, Jeremiah 11.20].
Sometimes we are responsible for the bad behavior from others directed to us yet we don't consider ourselves wrong. All you start thinking about is vengeance.
For this reason scripture is saying; Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God. For it is written, "I will take vengeance; I will repay those who deserve it,"
Yes, God's wrath is kindled on only those who deserve it. You may seek God to avenge for you but all He says is “look, you started it. Fix your heart first and they too will be fixed.”
Except the serpent which was cursed and set against the sons of Adam, no animal arises against man if not attacked. In the same way, except those under the influence of the serpent –satan himself, no man rises against the brother without fault.
Even those under the leadership of the devil, we are not to revenge, for it is God who judges all things.
