HONEST LABOR AND HONORABLE EMPLOYMENT —GOOD DEEDS

And let our own [people really] learn to apply themselves to good deeds (to honest labor and honorable employment), so that they may be able to meet necessary demands whenever the occasion may require and not be living idle and uncultivated and unfruitful lives. (Titus.3.14 AMP)

The impartation on man by God was “Be fruitful and increase in number.” [Genesis.1.28]. Also God placed man in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. [Gen.2.15].

Friend God is not going to carry everything and bring it to your disposal. The creation story is showing us a necessity. Work. The garden had everything Adam required yet he was required to work in the same.

Good deeds may not only mean charity but it also means honest labor and honorable employment. Today scripture is teaching us that sitting and folding hands is not the right way. God feeds the Sparrow which does not till the ground, yet the Sparrow has to leave the nest to meet the food God has prepared for it. Selah!

God has not called us to leave idle lives. Idle lives are unproductive. Such a life can not do much in kingdom service. Christ too didn't choose an idle man for a disciple.

Work is necessary to meet necessary demands. God blesses the labor of the righteous.

Hallelujah!
