Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD, and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work, for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts, in accordance with the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt; for my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear. (Haggai 2:4-5)
When you look at the world today servant of God, what do you see? Are you observing complete perversion or you are beholding the move of God too? Many servants of God, ranging from the political to the spiritual are loosing sight of what God is doing in the midst of the people and are conforming to the standards of this world.
But this is what the Lord is saying; Yet now be strong governor and priest and work, for I am with you. The people you are head over might not be showing a response to what you are telling them. But don't just give up.
I see many become self concerned and are now giving up the sheep. The LORD of hosts says, I am with you in accordance with the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt; for my Spirit remains among you. [Exodus 29:44-46]. It is not appointed to us to know when He will bring judgement but it has be apportioned to us to work while the light still abides.
It hurts the Lord when all people want to harvest and none is willing to plant. All people want to see the results of their service and use that as motivation.
The one who plants and the one who waters work as a team with the same purpose. Yet they will be rewarded individually, according to their own hard work. (1Corinthians.3.8 NLT).
Work according to the Grace that has been given to you. God's purpose for your appointment and covenant is more important than gathering many people around yourself.
How terrible is it to the servants of God if they don't do the work they have been sent to do? For necessity is laid upon them to do it. What reward is there for people who draw to perdition but giving it up? [1Cor.9.16 -]
Be strong and work, the Spirit of God is in our mids.
Hallelujah!
