Acts.17.23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. (KJV)
A human being can not live without a superior influence that they revere. No matter what a man believes in and is not the sovereign God, there is always a longing for His supreme power. We should not ignore the fact that not all people have known the one true God.
Truly speaking, they have a certain knowing that God -the one true God exists but have not known his nature. This is the mandate of the body of Christ: to make know the nature of God to those who know not.
Athens was one place with people who were soaked in idol worship; Paul called them "religious in every way," yet they knew not the one true God.
We have one true God, but not all people worship the one true God. Or else they worship what they don't know. Guessing how to worship Him.
It is impossible to walk people out or to walk out of slavery without making known or knowing the nature of God.
Gal.4.8 But at that previous time, when you had not come to be acquainted with and understand and know the true God, you [Gentiles] were in bondage to gods who by their very nature could not be gods at all [gods that really did not exist]. (AMP)
The reason people are still held by generational curses, their past, things proclaimed over them by darkness; the reason people still leave in fear of barbaric beliefs and gods is because they don't have the understanding of the nature of God.
The anointing on you can drive out what is oppressing that person but how are they going to keep it out? It's a sure thing that the demon was cast out but they remain enslaved for as long as their former knowledge is not replaced with the knowledge of God.
If in anyway you find yourself bound by anything, question your knowledge of the nature of God. Where the knowledge and the understanding of God is – which is the light, there the Spirit of God is and....
They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We're free of it! (2Cor.3.17 MSB)
This is the true freedom!
What then? In everything you do, in everything you speak make it your mandate to reveal the nature of God.
