Waxing great and big is the expectation of everything that a man starts. It is the expectation of even evil. At the tower of Babel, men wanted to make themselves a name by making it reach the heaven. [Gen 11.4-].
Your business, carrier, or anything you have imagined to do, even ministry, I believe you have a dream of seeing it expand. But there things we see not really expand no matter the effort exerted. And sometimes we ask this question: why?
The corresponding question would be: who planted it? What is the foundation of that which you are doing. Is it in the perfect will of God that it be so?
The Pharisees were offended by the words of Jesus, seeking to establish their own doctrine. Jesus answered by saying, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be torn up by the roots."
God is the author of everything, it is by Him, through Him and for Him that all things were made that were made.
To be plain, if the foundation of that which someone is doing or seeking to establish is not laid by God, it will never stand. If it was not started by God, the Gospel would be done.[Acts 5.38-39].
If you want it to have life, the let God plant it. The foundation of a thing matters.
