OF CHRIST NOT OTHERWISE

2Tim.3.12-13 Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there's no getting around it. Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They're as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse. (MSB).

You have heard of how people times ago have suffered for the sake of the gospel and the faith in Christ. Not only that but even in the present time, the news, media and what you see or experience gives a clear view of how persecution is becoming worse. So what are you going to do? Are you going to continue steadily in Christ? Or will you opt for hypocrisy? Or you'd rather abandon the faith?

Well we have seen many opting for hypocrisy just as Paul points out Peter.

Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? (Gal.2.12 - 14 NIV)

Hypocrisy is the worst state someone can be, because having known the truth, you set yourself against it. If you are not ready to face persecution, then you'd better step out completely. But that will not make your life any better or easy. In fact you go to worse. "Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They're as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse."

Never stand between. Nothing stands between corrupted and uncorrupted. Don't be as the church at Laodicea.

Rev.3.15 -16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Stand firm in the faith and never be shaken by persecution. The Grace of God is sufficient to walk you through all.

Hallelujah!
