Rom.13.8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. (NIV)
~
People are always scared of the debts the have with banks and money agencies, and the debts they have with fellow men. It is lawful that we pay our debts, yes all of them. But there is a debt that many people are blinded to it existence yet it is one nobody can pay the full price since it is continuous.
Let all debts be paid but we are mandated to pay the continuing debt to love one another. Peter came to him and asked, "Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?" He said. "No!" Jesus replied, "seventy times seven! [Matt.18.21-22]. This meant a continuous process –keep forgiving endlessly.
Child of God, don't grow weary of doing good and loving one another. Whatever commandment there is, all are summed in one command: love your neighbor as yourself.
You might pay all your earthly debts but heaven remains demanding you. Because you have not love a neighbor. It doesn't matter who they are, just love them unceasingly.
Loving is a debt that nobody can fully pay it's price yet required of us.
Hallelujah!
