1Thess.4.3 - 5 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; (NIV)
~
What's your understanding of the Grace of God that has called us to freedom? How are you applying that freedom? Are you using it as a license to do shameful things that are not worth talking about or you have the right understanding?
People who have a veiled understanding of the freedom in Christ have no clear vision of the will of God and the life God is calling us to. It has never been the will of God that you live a reckless life full of immoral actions. God has not called us to be sexually impure, fast to anger, uncontrolled and lusty.
Scripture says; It is God's will that you should be sanctified. God wills that you, everything around you, even the life you live is set apart and holly. That there should be a difference visible even before you introduce yourself as a Christian. Many people today can be identified as Christians only when they talk about themselves or when they are seen in Christian gatherings but everything about and around them suggests nothing about God. What a misrepresentation of Christ?
What is God saying about how you should behave? What is God saying about how you should go on with relationships? What is God saying about your speech, thought and desires?
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. This can only be possible when you delight in the word, instruction and guidance of God. Do well to sit in the class of the Spirit of God. Feed on His word.
Hallelujah!
