HAS THE GOSPEL CHANGED YOU?

Romans.14.17-18 God's kingdom isn't a matter of what you put in your stomach, for goodness' sake. It's what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy. Your task is to single-mindedly serve Christ. Do that and you'll kill two birds with one stone: pleasing the God above you and proving your worth to the people around you. (MSB)

When John came, he said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." In the gospel of St.Luke chapter 10, When Jesus sent out His disciples, He told them to stay in the house they are received, eating and drinking whatever they give them, because the worker deserves his wages. But not moving around from house to house.

He said, "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'

He was not sending them to feast but to proclaim the to the people the nearness of the Kingdom of God to them. In that way proving their transformation.

Allow me to pose a quick question; Besides the provisions, has the Gospel and life in Christ made any internal change in you?

Because our them scripture says God's kingdom isn't a matter of what you put in your stomach, for goodness' sake. It's what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy.

Today there are people who have joined the Christian family because they just need provisions. Their labour is to the end that they get something tangible.

The Bible says the Gospel and connection with Christ should bring about the renewal of your mind. [Romans 12.2]

That is why we say we are the clay in a potter's hand. Our task then is to serve Him single-mindedly, while He moulds us.

When provisions no longer matters, what will you look like. When you stand among multitudes, will you be marked separate.

At your workplace can people look at you and see something different about you that can't be seen in the heathen?

What can be said about your family? Is there a difference? Are you a true work in progress in God, or you are just robbing God by always wanting more provisions without giving Him your heart.

God's voice calls out to you now; "My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways."

When you do that, you become a person of substance, one of value --pleasing the God above you and proving your worth to the people around you.

Hallelujah!
