The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds ' feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! (Habakkuk.3.19 AMP)
Other translations of the Bible speak of the feet of the deer. Deers are known for their speed and agility: Can run fast (up to 40 mph) and jump high. Also, they're excellent swimmers. All this is because of their long feet with cloven hooves (two large, two small).
Habakkuk saw so many baffling things in a vision that pointed to destruction and stagnation that the leader of wickedness had done, yet he saw the Lord come out to save the anointed one.
He says, though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
It is not about the things happening around you, it's about what is in you. Many things around us can look scary and cause fear, they echo stagnation and failure, rejection and hatred. All these are like mountains that seem unnavigable. The greatest being fear.
But in our theme scripture is a sure hope for they that trust in God;
"The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds ' feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!"
Like deers with great ability to navigate high mountains, so does God make us. Deers are never stranded when they see steep slopes. I know that sickness, financial instability and any other thing troubling you looks so high for you to navigate. But I am come to tell you, rejoice in the LORD, be joyful in God your Savior.
Know God as your strength, your personal bravery, and invincible army. God is able to make your feet like deer's feet and cause you to walk and not to stand still in terror, and make spiritual progress upon your many troubles.
Like I said before, it's about what is in you. If you have God in you, know that He is greater than all your problems combined.
1John.4.4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (NKJV)
Christ in you is the hope of glory. Meaning that no matter what comes your way, there is a sure hope of victory.
Psalm.84.11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (KJV)
Hallelujah!
