Hence, when He [Christ] entered into the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, but instead You have made ready a body for Me [to offer]; (Hebrews.10.5 AMP)
Now that we have celebrated the coming of Jesus Christ into the world, reminding us of the perfect sacrifice that He made for all men, what are we also ready to offer to God?
Like Christ, God made us as a Spirit with a soul in a body. God prepared a body for Christ to offer as a sacrifice. Christ had no different flesh from ours. Every part of the human body he possessed and so do we.
This human body has parts which can be used as tools to either serve God or to promote sin. The choice is yours.
In Romans.6.13, the Bible says, "Do not let any part of your body become a tool of wickedness, to be used for sinning. Instead, give yourselves completely to God since you have been given new life. And use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the glory of God. (NLT)"
Appreciating Christ's sacrifice is beautiful but we too should off ourselves wholly, not just the heart to the service of God.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans.12.1)
Let your lips offer praise to God and proclaim His mercies to all men. Praise Him with your hands, let your body dance for Him as your arms give praise. Offer yourself to the service of God. It might not necessarily be praise or preaching, even good deeds are service.
It is to the end that you serve Him with your flesh too that God gave you everything on your body.
