The LORD shatters the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the LORD's plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken. (Psalm.33.10-11 NLT)
All of us when we were growing up or let's say we all grew up having dreams of what we wanted to become. We have frames of what we wanted our lives to be.
But when we we came into the knowledge of Christ, the dreams and plans started to change. The purpose of existence of everyone of us in this world is distinct and coded by God.
When someone is not in God, it's about what they want. But the purpose and plan of God concerning them was made long before their manifestation. This plan become more distinct and clear as a person embraces God more and more that even when they try to execute their own, God's plan prevails. Today's scripture tells us about this.
"The LORD shatters the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the LORD's plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken."
Yes, no matter how executable your plan maybe, how beneficial it would look, but if it is not in the plan and intension of God, it can never be. Oh but why are people who are heathen prospering and successful in the works of their hands? Let's see what scripture says about such prosperity.
Job.5.3 From my experience, I know that fools who turn from God may be successful for the moment, but then comes sudden disaster.
Ps.52.1 - 7 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?...Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah. The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying, "Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!"
Whatever is in the plan of God stands forever. This is why the Bible invites us to commit our plans to God [Proverbs 16.3]. God is able to shape our desire and plans to suit His, He is able to turn our will into His. We might not notice that He is the one working through us but scripture says it is He who works in us both to will and to do.
Child of God, seek God and let your mind agree with Him. In this way, you will never do anything that ends in vain. You can only live above vanity when you dwell in the plan of God.
Hallelujah!
