He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend. (Proverbs.22.11 KJV)
In this world all people want to have a relationship with people who have gone ahead of them in something. Take an example of people who seek connection with politicians and high rank officials. And some are able to catch the their attention while others never connect to them.
I here people always asking those favored for how they made it to these places. Well that's in the world. Look at Jesus, when he performed miracles, all people thronged at him to be noticed. I believe many wanted to be part of the twelve.
Scripture says that there is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spends it up. Yes many desire to get close to these treasures and oil that is with the great people. But how can they do this? Today scripture teaches us how to reap these advantages from the great people.
Right in our theme scripture is the way to be advantaged by Kings; even by God. "He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend."
Connecting to high graces is a heart issues. You can not bribe your way through or if you do, then be sure to spend a lot to keep it moving. But why spend a lot when there is a priceless way–making your heart pure and having gracious lips.
A pure heart can make God your friend. Yes it elevates you to the dwelling place of God. I'll show you.
Psalm.24.3-4 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. (NIV)
Matt.5.8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (KJV)
The question is; How do we become pure in heart and have gracious lips?
Christ chose men who had not been adulterated by the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Ignorant men for his disciples. Yes, many were wicked. I mean, Peter himself confessed that he was not even worthy to stand before Jesus. How about Matthew the tax collector and Judas the so called a thief?
But the prayer of Jesus Christ was so amazing, yet a divine truth to date.
John.17.17– Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth. Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth. (AMP)
In simple terms, it is only the by the truth which is the word of God that you can keep your heart pure. In His own word, God wants us to attract every beautiful grace to us that's why He says Kings will come to your rising.
It is possible to catch the attention of the great men and women. But you can't do it by manipulation or hypocrisy.
Build a close friendship with God by accepting His word to cleanse and break you to humility and obedience. Because Joseph became a friend of God, he became a father to Pharaoh the Egyptian King.
The pure heart of Joseph did not allow him to pollute himself. Are you desiring to be advantaged by the great people in the world? By God most of these people are our destiny helpers, but as the word says, fools spend the treasure.
You have the desire to be advantaged by these people but today the word has given us the key to be advantaged: have a pure heart, and gracious lips.
Hallelujah!
