WHAT DO I STILL LACK?

"All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?" (Matthew.19.20 NIV)

To what extent do you feel you know and follow the truth? Also how perfect do you feel you are. Children who seem to know all and think don't need the help of the teacher always find it hard to excel in class.

In our theme scripture, the young rich man had kept all the commandments, he had followed them from his childhood. Yet by Christ, there was something He was still missing.

The primary work of the Holy Spirit is to teach us until we reach perfection. However, many people who sometimes because of the time they have taken in the Gospel no longer recognize that there are so many aspects that they have not learned in God.

What is written about this young man does not only teach us not to treasure earthly possessions but to also embrace the habit of always asking God what is still lacking in us.

While scripture is numerable and one can have it off head, the truth itself is bottomless. Nobody can know everything about God.

It is important to always ask God for the little missing pieces because His Spirit alone can make them known to us.

1Corinthians.2.10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man 's scrutiny].

God calls us to a relationship which depends on Him entirely, that you do nothing on your own. Always seek to know what is still lacking in your walk in God and fellow men as well.

Hallelujah!
