A HEART RICH WITH GOD'S WORD

I've banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won't sin myself bankrupt. (Psalm.119.11 MSB)

The heart of a man was designed by God to be occupied, that is why it is either occupied by light or darkness. What fills the heart produces what is seen and heard of a man.

Many people have piled wisdoms and knowledge of this world into their hearts yet are bankrupt of the word of God. The wisdom of the world puffs up the heart of a man while the word of God humbles.

Many people have set themselves against God because there is very little or no knowledge of God stored up in their hearts.

As for the Psalmist, He understood what can so easily cause a man to sin: the bankruptcy of the word of God. So He says I have banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won't sin myself bankrupt.

Child of God, the problem might not be a demon spirit, it might not even be an addiction or evil covenants. The only problem you might be having is the absence of God's word in your heart.

If you are living in darkness, The entrance of God's words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. (Ps.119.130 NKJV). The more you allow the word in, the more you are filled with light.

If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight is shining on you." (Luke.11.36 NLT)

Remember that a leaking pot does not hold water and so is a leaking heart. If everytime you receive the word you let it slip out, you might never get filled up. Don't be like seed among thorns.

Matthew.13.22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. (NKJV)

Take note of the use of the words 'banked' and 'vault' in our scripture today. This must tell you of the responsibility you have in storing up the word of God in your heart far from destruction by the worries of this world. First get rid of the worries by casting all your cares on Jesus Christ.

Escape the decay and corruption of this world by storing up the word of God in your heart.

Hallelujah!
