But what does the Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son." (Gal.4.30 NIV)
Many things come our way as we evolve in pursuit of God's will and purpose. But not everything that comes by is in the perfect will of God. It's also cutting to know that those not in the will of God come promising better success and reward.
So, what really should man do when they seem to be at crossroads? Abraham who had the two sons, one of promise and the other of the slave woman, was disturbed by Sarah's statement of sending away the slave woman and her son - Abraham's first born.
Similarly it's always hard for the heart of man to get rid of things that seem good and pleasing. All you need to do is to look at the promises of God. Look at the intension of God in your life. What has God said about you? What is your covenant like with God? When you are sure of these, you start to preserve what aligns to God's purpose in you while getting rid of what is not important to your walk with God.
Sometimes we pray to God to give or take away some things. But have we really known what we require? His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2Pet.1.3 NIV)
Also remember that not everything that you can access is important to you. Just because something is technically legal doesn't mean that it's spiritually appropriate. If I went around doing whatever I thought I could get by with, I'd be a slave to my whims. (1Cor.6.12 MSB)
Whenever you find yourself at crossroads, remember the promise and covenant you have with God.
Hallelujah!
