Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians.3.13 NIV)
Nothing is as hard as forgiving and bearing with the person who cut you and caused you pain, those people who have really done the worst to us. Some offenses can be overlooked but some just can't be forgiven carnally.
But scripture is inviting us to embrace forgiveness since by default we were forgiven when he died for us. This forgiveness is granted to them that believe and confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and is available to be received by any body when they do.
When we receive the Lord Jesus, we are give a new nature —the nature of God. God is love. Nobody can forgive except they have love. In love offense has no measure. What seems small or great are equal in the presence of love and all are worth forgiving.
Standout as the light of the world and as the salt of the world: giving the taste of God's love and mercy to them that have not tasted. Christ is the beginning and the end, we can't say we are His and not follow His example, nor do beyond what He did to save the world.
So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. (Luke.17.3 NIV)
Hallelujah!
