THE SOURCE OF WISDOM

Prov.2.6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. (KJV)

~

What kind of wisdom can save a man's soul and keep him at peace with both God and a fellow man? It is Godly wisdom. Not every wisdom is godly. The kind of wisdom in a person can be judged by it's character and fruit. [James 3.13-17]

The kind of wisdom that every child of God should desire is the wisdom from above.

Real wisdom, God's wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced. (James.3.17 MSB)

But now in the world mixed up with so many things competing for our attention and application, where and how can we get God's wisdom? Scripture is showing us today;

The LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2.6 KJV)

Wisdom from above can only be found in God. There are so many things that the Lord has hidden from man, but makes them known to those who deserve: those who depend on Him for understanding and knowledge. [1Corinthians 2.7-16 AMP]

Out of the mouth of God comes wisdom. Jesus said; "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John.6.63 KJV). There is a lot of wisdom in the Bible however, not everybody is able to see this wisdom. Not everybody is able to get a hold of the revelation. To them this wisdom does not make sense.

1Cor.2.14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. (NIV)

How God gives us His wisdom is by the indwelling Spirit in us who have believed the son Jesus Christ.

Have you believed and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? If no, you are depending on earthly wisdom. Accept the son Jesus Christ and receive this Godly wisdom.

If yes, trust on every word that proceeds from His mouth.

Ps.119.130 The entrance and unfolding of Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple. (AMP)

The word used for simple here means silly, seducible, foolish. You enter without knowledge and understanding of a thing into Christ, yet as you feast on and behold his word, you continuously get understanding and are changed to His very likeness.

Hallelujah!
